A Brief History
- Canadian Wheelchair Manufacturing Ltd., - October 10, 1991 - a manufacturer of wheelchairs (HTR, Concept 45) and mobility devices.
- Canadian Posture and Seating Centre, Inc., - November 4, 1991 - a manufacturer of seating and positioning products, including wheelchair cushions, backrests and seating systems.
- Hovis Medical - Spring of 1992
- Genus Medical - November 8, 1994 - a manufacturer and distributor of tilt and recline systems for power wheelchairs (Tarsys) and scooters (Flyer, Cat, Cat Basic).
- Special Health Systems - November 27, 1995 - a designer and manufacturer of seating and positioning systems for wheelchairs.
Invacare Canada currently operates a distribution facility in Mississauga and an assembly plant (Patriot, Concept 45) in Montreal.
